Reverb Filter (Max for Live)
A streamlined utility for dynamic reverb EQ, turning half an hour of tedious automation into a few minutes of workflow.
The Story
Every time I used an EQ plugin to filter the reverb effect, I felt that it's overkill to use such a complex device just to cut some low and high frequencies.
But this annoyance became a real problem when I started a practice of dynamically changing the filtering, so that one part of the track had a brighter reverb than the other, a little mixing trick I've learnt.
To achieve this by using an EQ plugin, you should draw the automation for low cut, then for high cut, and then pray that you won't change your mind about how bright a part of your track should sound. And if you use multiple reverbs in any given track, as I do, all these steps should be repeated a few times more.
So I decided that I had enough and created this Reverb Filter device. It is a massive time saver for my workflow. What previously took half an hour of work, I can now do in a few minutes. I hope it will be useful for you too.
